Decent DE1

Overview

The original Decent DE1 was the machine that launched the Decent Espresso revolution — the first consumer espresso machine to offer real-time pressure and flow profiling controlled by a tablet app. Born from a successful Kickstarter campaign, the DE1 proved that a small, lightweight machine using thermoblocks and gear pumps could produce espresso rivaling machines costing many times more. The original DE1 established the core platform: precision gear pumps for exact flow control, fast-heating thermoblocks for on-demand water temperature, and a sophisticated firmware system that allows users to design and share custom extraction profiles.
